The purpose of this research study was to understand changes in memory, learning, attention, and concentration (which we call "cognition" in technical terms). The study focused on recruiting people with schizophrenia between the ages of 12 and 21 years. As a part of this study, we asked questions regarding potential symptoms and administered computerized and paper and pencil tests to measure cognition, and also acquired many brain MRI scans. We are using this information to understand the association of cognitive impairments and brain differences in individuals with early-onset schizophrenia.
